1. Introduction
Our website, https://mademoiselleconciergerie.com (hereinafter: “the website”), sets no cookies without your consent. With your consent, and for each of the three purposes that you may accept or decline separately (statistics, measuring our Google ads and personalised advertising), it uses cookies from Google. The third-party services described below appear only in certain places on the website and may also use cookies or related technologies (for convenience all technologies are referred to as “cookies”). In the document below we inform you about the use of cookies on our website.
2. What are cookies?
A cookie is a small simple file that is sent along with pages of this website and stored by your browser on the hard drive of your computer or another device. The information stored therein may be returned to our servers or to the servers of the relevant third parties during a subsequent visit. The browser’s local storage and session storage work in a similar way.
3. Our pages
Without your consent, our pages set no cookies and load no Google tag. They only keep your choice for each of the three purposes (accepted or declined) and its date in your browser’s local storage, for 6 months, so as not to ask you again on every page; once that period has passed, this record is erased. They display no advertising and embed no social media content. Their fonts are served from our own server (no Google Fonts).
Maps (villa pages, the “Our villas” page, the Contact page) are also served from our own server, using OpenStreetMap data that we host: displaying them calls on no third-party service (no Google Maps) and stores nothing in your browser.
The contact form uses no cookies and no reCAPTCHA: to protect it from automated submissions, your browser performs a brief verification calculation, without any third-party service.
4. Third-party services
The following services only appear in certain places on the website, and sometimes only at your request.
Guest reviews (Trustindex)
- Where
- The guest reviews section (“In our guests’ words”) on the home page.
- When
- The module loads when you approach that section, without any action on your part.
- Trackers
- None: this module sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser.
- Data sent
- The module loads its files (script, styles, fonts, images) from Trustindex’s servers (Trustindex Kft., Hungary), which receive your IP address. Reviewers’ profile pictures are loaded from the platforms that host them, notably Airbnb, Booking.com and Google, which also receive your IP address. Each time, your browser also sends the usual technical information (type of device, referring site).

Calendar and prices (Smily)
- Where
- Villa pages, in the booking section, and the date search on the “Our villas” page.
- When
- When you open the calendar and choose your dates, or search by dates.
- Trackers
- None: the requests are sent without cookies, and the measurement cookies offered in return by Smily’s servers are not stored by your browser. When you continue to the payment page or to our booking website, you are on a Smily website, which applies its own cookie policy.

Magazine and brochure (Calaméo)
- Where
- The pages presenting our magazine and our owners’ brochure.
- When
- Only if you click the link that opens them.
- Trackers
- None on our pages: they load nothing from Calaméo (no embedded reader, no script, no image). The link opens the document on the calameo.com website, in a new tab: you are then on a Calaméo site (Calaméo SAS, France), which applies its own privacy and cookie policy and may use audience measurement and advertising cookies.

Social media (Instagram, Facebook)
The links to Instagram and Facebook are plain links: nothing is loaded from these services before you click. Wherever we show our Instagram posts (“Follow us” block), the images are fetched and served by our own server: your browser does not contact Instagram or Meta, and no cookie is set. If you click a link, you arrive on the network’s own website, which applies its own policy.
5. Google: statistics and advertising
Three purposes rely on Google tools. Each is chosen separately in the banner: you may accept one or two without the others. Personalised advertising requires the measurement of our ads: choosing it also turns on that measurement, and declining the measurement of our ads also declines personalised advertising.
All three go through the Google tag (“gtag.js”), which our website loads itself, without Google Tag Manager, and only after you consent: until you have made a choice, or if you decline everything, no Google tag is loaded and no measurement data is sent to Google (only the profile pictures of some reviews, see section 4, come from Google servers). If you accept statistics only, nothing is sent to Google Ads. As soon as a Google tag is loaded, your browser contacts Google servers, which receive your IP address and information about your device and browser.
None of these measurements includes your name, your email address, your telephone number or the text of your messages. We do not use Google’s “enhanced conversions”, which send Google an email address or a telephone number in hashed form.
Statistics
- What it does
- Measuring how the website is used with Google Analytics (pages viewed, length and source of visits, type of device) and the main actions taken on it: a date search, a quote shown on a villa page, a click on a telephone number or an email address, the move to the payment page (with the amount of the quote), a message or an request sent. The aim is to improve the website.
- Legal basis
- Your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR; Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act).
- Cookies
-
_ga: tells visitors apart by a random identifier, kept for up to 13 months after it is created._ga_QKFDZVLJ3L: keeps the state of the visit; renewed at each visit, it expires 13 months after the last one.
- Retention
- Detailed visit data is kept for 14 months at most in Google Analytics.
- Recipient
- Google Ireland Limited (Ireland). Data may be processed in the United States by Google LLC, under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision of the European Commission).
- Withdrawal and length of your choice
-
At any time, through the “Manage cookies” link at the bottom of every
page: the
_gacookies are then deleted and measurement stops. Your choice is kept for 6 months, then asked again; these cookies are deleted at that point.
Measuring our Google ads
- What it does
- Finding out whether the ads we run on Google (Google Ads) lead to an enquiry or a booking: when you arrive through one of them, Google links that click to what you then do on the website (a message or request sent, the move to the payment page with the amount of the quote), so that we can assess our campaigns. This permission lets Google receive that data for advertising purposes (the ad click identifier, the page visited, the action taken).
- Legal basis
- Your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR; Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act).
- Cookies
-
_gcl_au: a random identifier, set as soon as you accept the measurement of our ads, which links what you do on the website to a click on, or a view of, one of our ads._gcl_aw: the ad click identifier, set only if you arrive through an ad._gac_…: campaign information shared with Google Analytics (our Google Analytics and Google Ads accounts are linked).
_gcl_or_gac_, 90 days) or a “Conversion” cookie on its googleadservices.com domain (90 days). The Google tag also keeps this information in your browser’s local storage (the_gcl_lsentry). Google may also read or set its own cookies on its domains (notably doubleclick.net and google.com) to link your actions to our ads, depending on your browser settings. - Retention
- Cookies: 90 days. Data received by Google: as set out in Google’s policy.
- Recipient
- Google Ireland Limited (Ireland). Data may be processed in the United States by Google LLC, under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
- Withdrawal and length of your choice
-
At any time, through the “Manage cookies” link at the bottom of every
page: the cookies set on our domain and the
_gcl_lsentry are then deleted and measurement stops. Your choice is kept for 6 months, then asked again; these cookies are deleted at that point.
Personalised advertising
- What it does
- Showing you our ads again after your visit (remarketing): Google may recognise your browser and show you Mademoiselle Conciergerie ads on its services and on partner websites and apps. Without this permission, your visit is not used to target you. You can also adjust ad personalisation in your Google account (adssettings.google.com).
- Legal basis
- Your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR; Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act).
- Cookies
-
To show you our ads again, Google uses its own cookies, set on its domains (third-party cookies), notably:
IDE(doubleclick.net): 13 months.test_cookie(doubleclick.net): 15 minutes.NID(google.com): 6 months.
- Retention
- Cookies: 13 months at most. Data received by Google: as set out in Google’s policy.
- Recipient
- Google Ireland Limited (Ireland). Data may be processed in the United States by Google LLC, under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
- Withdrawal and length of your choice
- At any time, through the “Manage cookies” link at the bottom of every page: personalised advertising stops straight away (the page is reloaded); the cookies on our domain remain for as long as you keep the measurement of our ads. Those that Google sets on its own domains can only be deleted from your browser settings. Your choice is kept for 6 months, then asked again.

6. Consent
On your first visit, a banner lets you accept or decline the three purposes above: “Accept” switches them all on, “Decline” switches none on, and “Choose” opens three boxes so that you can set each one separately. Declining is as simple as accepting and changes nothing in your browsing; until you have chosen, nothing is loaded for these three purposes.
Your choice is kept for 6 months, after which the banner is shown to you again; it is also shown again if we add a purpose. You can change your choice and withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, through the “Manage cookies” link at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
7. Enabling/disabling and deleting cookies
You can use your internet browser to automatically or manually delete cookies. You can also specify that certain cookies may not be placed. Another option is to change the settings of your internet browser so that you receive a message each time a cookie is placed. For more information about these options, please refer to the instructions in the Help section of your browser.
Please note that some third-party services (Smily’s payment page, the Calaméo website) may not work properly if all cookies are disabled. If you clear your browser’s storage, the banner will be shown to you again.
8. Your rights with respect to personal data
You have the following rights with respect to your personal data:
- You have the right to know why your personal data is needed, what will happen to it, and how long it will be retained for.
- Right of access: you have the right to access your personal data that is known to us.
